Our stay at the hotel was terrific, it was a quaint, terrific building, in a nice little country town. The rooms were cosy, and great value for money, there was well priced and delicious food in the restaurant and Michael the manager was really nice and a great character. Well worth a stay.

“Lovely welcoming staff and Michael made us feel at home. Room was clean and tidy with plenty of space. Shared bathroom and kitchen was surprisingly neat and clean, considering they were fully booked the night we stayed. Good value for money. An added benefit was being able to have dinner on the premises, with a good selection on the menu. The food was tasty and well prepared.”

Congratulations to Mike and his wonderful team (and the friendly locals as well) for making us so welcome in Boorowa. Delicious dinner. It was a "plate-licker" (ie so delicious you want to pick up your plate and lick it clean). I resisted. Enjoyed my first ever Guinness (on recommendation from Anthony at the local chemist). Rooms were comfy and clean; and wide verandas perfect for post-ride relaxing. Thanks Ian and Marea

My stay at the Boorowa Hotel was perfect. Mike and Young went over-and-above as hosts, which made my stay super enjoyable. I was travelling for business, Mike hooked me up with all the contacts I needed. The restaurant staff make great breakfasts, a super long black, and the choice for dinner was superb. Yum. My room was quaint & homely, clean. I stayed on the iconic verandah, and watched the pink and orange sky melt away at sunset, from an old leather couch on old wooden boards. It blew me away. There were ample facilities for a quick get-away breakfast, places to hide away and write, and the Shamrock cafe inside for lunch. The people I met at the bar were warm and friendly. Boorowa itself is beautiful, historic and nuanced. The locals gave me directions to some true historic sites, and even drove me around the old town! The Guinness was (too) good. The football was on. I would — and will — stay at the Boorowa Hotel again in a heartbeat.
Thanks, and see you again.

A big shout out to Mike and the team at The Boorowa Hotel. Thank you for making our stay over the Picnic Races weekend so memorable. Mike and his staff went above and beyond to make us all feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, the food delicious and the atmosphere in the pub electric. We especially enjoyed the top notch Guinness and live Irish music. Thank you again for a fantastic weekend and your generous hospitality! Can't wait till next year! xx

Just about the best pint of Guinness in 'Stralia. Made all the better for the hospitable treatment the owner Mike and his team provide for his patrons. Have stayed a number of years now at this stage for 'the Races' and I must say the past 2 years since Mike and his team have come in have been unparalleled making the 'the Top Pub' every bit, dare I say, an absolute top pub. Roll on next year- calendar marked off already!!! Although I'll find an excuse to get there sooner than that for a pint of the black stuff

Dear Michael,

What a success the 2014 Young Dressage IGA Championships was! And this was largely due to the generosity of the event sponsorship as provided by the likes of Boorowa Hotel.

On behalf of myself and students of Forward Coaching, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your commitment to making this event so successful. Your generous contribution helped make the three-day Easter event a fantastic one for all riders and participants.

Please know that partnerships with our sponsors are vital to the success of this event. You are truly appreciated. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Jacqui van Montfrans

Awesome country pub. Great publican, staff and very cold beer. What more do you want apart from Elvis in the building? The Boorowa Hotel is rockin'!

My Grandma and I finished off our road trip with a night at the Boorowa Hotel last Saturday night. It was the first time I have ever stayed above a pub and it was really good fun!

The bar and restaurant were buzzing with a great atmosphere, the food was good and the accommodation was very clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed several memorable moments, including sitting upstairs on the big veranda in the cool quiet of the morning with a cup of tea, looking out at the main street.

Thankyou Mike & Young for such a lovely experience.

We (my wife & her mother) stayed 3 nights at the pub early in the new year and had a great, unique, Aussiie town experience. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and great value (and even included breakfast). The wide verandah is an ideal space to take it easy and for watching stunning sunsets.

The restaurant meals were surprisingly good and very well priced.

Boorowa is well located for exploring the surrounding area and the town itself has plenty of surprises, for instance its well preserved heritage and interesting walking trails.

The staff were friendly and courteous. Plenty of characters in the pub. And the beer was cold and while there are only good ones and better ones the beers I enjoyed certainly tasted like the better ones.

Highly recommend.

My family had the pleasure of staying at this lovely old pub when we gathered for a family wedding. Wonderfully warm hosts, great food and wonderful old accommodation. would recommend to anyone looking for that rustic stay. Make sure you have a drink upstairs on the old verandah.

My entire family had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Boorowa Hotel a few weeks ago. Knowing that we had gathered together to spread Dad's ashes, and that of his beloved dog Katie at Whealgrace in Rye Park, which is where we lived for many years, I have to say that our hosts were nothing short of amazing! We'll be back, sooner than you think! Thank you so much Mike :)

For our end of financial year we took our staff and their partners to the Booroowa Pub. We had a private dining room set up in the cafe and were given a great selection of meals. Within the confines of the private dining, we had the opportunity for a few speeches and toasts. We then stayed the night at the pub to avoid anyone having to be the designated driver. This allowed everyone the opportunity to let their hair down, resulting in some very bad billiards playing.

Between the raging fire, the billiards table, the flowing amber ale and the juke box, the evening was very memorable.

Compared to our normal EOFY dinner, where we would simply go to a Canberra restaurant, this was a great change. Everyone commented on how good the food and accommodation was and what a pleasant change it was to get out of town for the night. I highly recommend the option to other Canberra Businesses. Michael and his staff are great hosts.
